Lance Edmands

Lance is a Brooklyn-based writer, director, and editor whose work has screened at Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, Cannes, Berlin, and the New York Film Festival. His debut feature, Bluebird, was developed through the Sundance Institute Labs, premiered at Tribeca, and was named a New York Times Critics’ Pick.

His short films Whiteout and The Seeker premiered at Tribeca, and in 2023 he directed an ESPN Films 30 for 30 about Louis Sockalexis, the first Native American to play Major League Baseball. He has also directed commercial work for Ford, Google, and Cadillac.

As an editor, his credits include Sanctuary and HBO’s The Jinx: Part Two, for which he received an Emmy nomination. His latest film, Victorian Psycho, starring Maika Monroe, will premiere at Cannes.
